GREENSBORO, N.C. — As temperatures continue to drop across the Triad, many will be cranking up the heat. Unfortunately, that isn’t always an option for the one in four Triad families who can’t afford to heat their homes.
Thankfully, Berico and the Salvation Army of Greensboro formed a partnership to get emergency help to families who need it. It’s called Gift of Warmth. WFMY News 2 is happy to be a part of this year’s fundraising campaign.
Will Berry with Berico said the campaign has been able to assist over 1400 families through cold winter nights.
“About 18 years ago, Berico realized we would commonly get requests for assistance,” Berry said. “We realized the need is beyond Berico customers.
