GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The Greene County Humane Society launched a capital fundraising campaign to build a new facility Tuesday. For the past three years, the Greene County Humane Society has been redefining its approach as an animal shelter. During that time, the Humane Society has added services aimed at being better stewards of animal welfare.
Now, the Humane Society wants to go a step further and build a new, modern building.
“We started to realize that this facility probably wasn’t fulfilling all of our needs. There was a lot more that we could do,” says Kegan Inman, president of the Greene County Humane Society’s board of directors.
Inman adds that after identifying their needs and reviewing design options with an architect, they decided to launch the capital fundraising campaign.
