There you’ll find a wide array of options that will help create more biodiversity at the Seed Library.
The first batch of seeds for the 2023 growing season will be available at either the Georgetown or Acton branch of the library on Jan. 26, including tomatoes, peppers, onions, and a selection of herbs. Available varieties can be searched prior to your visit through the online catalogue.
Launched in 2018, the Seed Library was created to promote sustainable food choices by providing access to fruit, vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to Halton Hills residents.
Each year, the library makes a small investment to purchase heirloom, organic and specialty seed varieties, which is supplemented by community donations in the form of leftover seeds and those harvested throughout the growing season. The …
