How to Start A Gofundme

GoFundMe is the biggest crowdfunding platform that uses a large diverse group of people to raise funds through the internet, especially social media outlets. Whether you are ditched or a victim of injustice, accident, you have got to settle the bills of a legal process that is not your making or cannot afford the fees and bills in school and hospital, you need a charity or undertaking a personal or communal project, maybe you need funds for your campaign, whatever it is, personal, friend, group, communal, in normal or exigent circumstances, gofund me has got you covered financially through fundraising by the internet communities.

Gofund me was Launched in 2010 by Brad Damphousse and Andrew Ballester. The internet platform within 10 years has garnered over $9 billion in contributions for various causes from over 120 million donors. Among the notable and most recent projects ranked as one of the most funded campaigns of gofundme is the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund which has raised a total of $14,595,200 and is still active.

Gofund me is a free and for-profit crowdfunding platform that helps individuals, families, groups, or communities raise funds for normal situations and emergencies.

To start a gofundme is free. There is no payment for campaign organizers. However, a 3% payment processing fee for debit and credit charges and a $0.30 for every donation are obtainable, which are transaction charges by the platform. Apart from these charges, all the funds go to the campaign beneficiary.

To start a gofundme, log on to www.gofundme.com and sign up to create a gofundme account. Enter your full name and the email you would like to use. Once you have created your account, you will receive a prompt to create a fundraiser. There will be questions for you about the beneficiary and the purpose of the funds alongside other basic information. Enter your address and the country of the bank account receiving the funds.

The next step is to set up your targeted or goal amount having in mind that there is a transaction fee for each donation so your goal amount should be a little higher to cover up transaction costs. This follows with adding a cover photo or hosting a video on YouTube. The photo should be JPEG, PNG, or BMP. The photo size is recommended to be 720 x 405 and of high quality.
