Impact Support Services celebrates new headquarters | Mid-Missouri News [Video]

Impact Support Services celebrated the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters on Thursday. The nonprofit focuses on helping individuals who may have difficulties due to a disability or different limitations feel connected to their communities.

Executive Director Don Lafferty has been with the organization, previously known as Alternative Community Training, for 33 years.

“We serve almost 250 individuals, but we were leasing management offices,” Lafferty said. “And as we were growing, those (offices) were not meeting our needs, so instead of leasing new spaces, we realized it was better for us to be a member of the community to have a better corporate office in Columbia.”
