Iron Maiden made jewelry from guitar strings for charity [Video]

Iron Maiden is giving fans a chance to wear their guitar strings as jewelry and it’s all for a good cause. The group is working with non-profit jewelers, The Guitarwrist, to up-cycle their guitar strings into various jewelry pieces including bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings.

100% of the money made from each item sold is directly benefiting Heavy Metal Truants, a charity cycling club focused on on raising money and awareness for various young people’s causes including Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline and Save The Children.

As for the jewelry, there are 10 items in the collection made with strings from varying Iron Maiden events and members including Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers. A select number of pieces allow fans the option to select which member’s strings they’d prefer for their piece.

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
