Jenkins jazz combo to perform Friday at First Lutheran [Video]

Terri Jo Jenkins and her combo will headline the Jan. 5 First Friday Jazz concert from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Activity Center at First Lutheran Church, 1551 S. 70th St. Jenkins is a well-known jazz singer in Omaha and Denver. This will be her initial appearance at First Friday Jazz in Lincoln.

Members of her accompanying group will be Jeff Jenkins on piano, Joey Guilizia on drums and Dale Black on Bass.

The First Friday Jazz series is in its 12th year at First Lutheran. There is no admission charge, but financial contributions are encouraged. Participants are also encouraged to donate nonperishable food items for the church food pantry.

Jenkins and her combo have performed at Denver’s 5 Points Jazz Festival, the Estes Park and River City Jazz Festivals, and the Nebraska Arts Festival. Although now living and working in Omaha, she continues her work in Colorado as creator …

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
