Kauai Humane Society hosts FEMA dogs meet & greet and fundraiser event | Business [Video]

LIHUE, Hawaii (Island News) – In partnership with the Kauai Search and Rescue (KSAR), the Kauai Humane Society (KHS) will be hosting a Meet & Greet and Fundraiser with FEMA dogs.

The event will take place on Monday, Oct. 2, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Kauai Humane Society. The fundraiser is free and open to the public and refreshments will be for sale, with the proceeds going towards KHS.

The Island of Maui has suffered major devastation from wildfires, displacing thousands and decimating an entire city. As the community begins the long process of rebuilding, here are some resources, charities, and other helpful information for both residents and anyone who’d like to chip in and help:

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
