Letter carriers help support national food drive ahead of summer [Video]

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Mail-men and women from all over the country were picking up non-perishable food items and taking them back to the post office where they will be sorted and donated to food banks, including the one right here in the Coastal Bend.

This is the nation’s largest one-day food collection, and all the food will be donated to the Coastal Bend Food Bank in Corpus Christi and local food pantries or churches in the surrounding Coastal Bend cities.

This year, they have picked up more donations compared to last year.
