Letter Carriers throughout NWPA Prepare for 31st Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive – Erie News Now [Video]

Letter Carriers throughout Northwest Pennsylvania will once again Stamp Out Hunger this weekend.

It’s the 31st National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. It’s the nation’s largest single-day food drive.

In 2022, the Letter Carriers and volunteers in Northwest Pennsylvania collected close to 104,000 pounds of food to help feed our neighbors in need.

Those interested in participating can do so by leaving a sturdy bag containing nonperishable food items (like canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice, or cereal) next to your mailbox early in the morning on May 13th.

Food items should be in an unbreakable container such as boxes and cans.

Letter carriers and volunteers for Stamp Out Hunger will be collecting donations from homes across the region and delivering them to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania or to its agency partners in the area.
