CHICO, Calif. – For Oasis Bar in Chico, it’s a tradition to not only host a breakfast on Super Bowl, but make sure it’s for a good cause.
The smell of eggs and sausages and the sound of laughter filled The Oasis Sunday morning, as it hosted its annual Superbowl Charity Breakfast.
They’ve hosted this charity breakfast for the last 35 years, Oasis Bar owner, Stacey Schaffer, said.
Dozens of people showed up to the Vietnam Veterans of America breakfast fundraiser to help bring the “Wall that Heals” to Chico.
“The Wall that Heals” is a monument in Washington, D.C. commemorating the lives lost in the Vietnam War.
There is a mobile replica of the wall — that’s about a fourth its size — and the goal is to bring it to Chico …
