Margot Robbie Proved Method Dressing Is Here to Stay With Barbie [Video]

It was a banner year for the color pink if Margot Robbie had anything to say about it. Even before Greta Gerwig’s Barbie film hit theaters this past July, people were already getting into the spirit, planning outfits and parties in celebration. And nobody was more on-theme than Robbie herself, whose litany of Barbie-inspired press tour looks rivaled the film’s impressive wardrobe full of, among other things, Chanel costumes.

Robbie, with the help of stylist Andrew Mukamel, produced hit after hit. In some cases, she went literal, leaning hard into the increasingly popular method dressing phenomenon. For the film’s London premiere, she transformed into the 1960 “Enchanted Evening” Barbie in Vivienne Westwood couture; for the Seoul premiere, she did double duty as “Day to Night” Barbie, changing from a spectacularly ‘80s power suit into a full-skirted Versace.
