BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Salvation Army in Baton Rouge is asking for more donations two weeks before Christmas Day.
The Salvation Army Baton Rouge Corps said a week into sorting and packaging gifts, they are running low on items like clothing, shoes and toys for kids. The Angel Tree program aims to give each kid a pair of shoes, some clothing, a coat and toys.
A total of over 1,100 children aged newborn to 12 years old are registered for this year’s program.
Those who want to donate can drop off donations during the week of Dec. 11 at the Salvation Army located at 7361 Airline Highway.
