ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is spreading the word about invasive species in the state. The agency won an Emmy award for their documentary “The Uninvited.”
Officials said the film is being used as a tool to educate the public about the threat invasive species pose to New York’s ecosystem, public health and economy.
“We have to do everything we can to educate ourselves because we can all play a role in controlling invasive species and protecting our state and controlling the threats to it,” NYS DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos said.
“The Uninvited” can be watched for free online.
