Pet of the Week: Poochie from Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue [Video]

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Poochie, an approximately five-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix, is available for adoption from Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue.

Described by her handlers as somewhat shy, Poochie is a very sweet dog who is looking for a forever home.

Poochie gets along well with all people, and will occasionally “bop” you to herd you, though she is not incessant about it.

“She has a very playful little personality, loves pets and belly rubs,” a FBAR representative said.

So far, she gets along well with other dogs, but would do best in a home with no cats. Additionally, Poochie would do best with a fenced yard.

“She would probably do best with a male furbrother to help continue to build her confidence,” FBAR states.

She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and Bordetella, microchipped, heartworm negative and spayed.
