PHX athletes row 24 hours, raise money for kids with disabilities [Video]

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — How long can you go on a rowing machine? Several Valley athletes tag-teamed to row for 24 hours over the weekend, all for a good cause, and that’s Something Good.

A group of four athletes from Back Alley Cross Fit Gym in central Phoenix took turns Saturday into Sunday rowing to raise money for Camp Patrick, a local nonprofit that creates a place where kids with disabilities can just be kids. Larry, Stacy, Joff and Sam rowed for 24 hours straight. The campers get to enjoy a fun week. But, even better, it’s free for the families! This is why fundraising is so important.

The Camp Patrick kids sent video messages to cheer on and motivate Larry, Joff and Sam to keep going, as well as to encourage folks who were watching online to donate and support the nonprofit. So, thanks to these four athletes for doing Something Good! …
