PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Portlanders and their dogs dashed for a good cause at Waterfront Park Saturday in the Oregon Humane Society’s 37th annual Doggie Dash.
The furry fun kicked off at 7:30 a.m. with a 1.5-mile loop around the park or a 2.5-mile route across the Hawthorne Bridge.

Jeff Keller took part in the dash this year.
“Just the sense of community and making Portland a little more of a community again,” Keller said. “Just seeing all the booths, all the vendors, there’s a lot of vet clinics here, independent, small businesses so just supporting that and then getting some cardio.”
This is the nonprofit’s largest fundraising event of the year and it all goes to support adoption programs and veterinary care.
