Pumpkin Market Ran by Local Couple Donates Proceeds to Families in Need – Erie News Now [Video]

It’s finally fall, and there’s a little roadside stand in Summit Township with all kinds of fall harvest items to get you in the autumn mood.

Barb and Richard Sipple own the little operation.

It’s located on Hershey Road, behind target, they have hundreds of pumpkins for sale, with a portion of their proceeds going to charities or helping families in need.

After more than 20 years, they supply their stand with the help of local farms.

And how much do they charge? Well, it’s the honor system.

“I like it because of the kids, and I get retired people in here. Just the other day there was this older lady, I thought she was old to me but I gave her a little pumpkin and it was like I gave her a $50 bill,” said Richard Sipple. “It’s a treat ya know, it’s not always about the money.”
