RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The Children’s House Montessori held a fundraiser filled with activities and entertainment for all ages to raise money to support their school. Sunday’s event had bouncy houses, food trucks, a children’s ‘fun run’, and a 5K race.
Michelle Kagarmanov, the director of Children’s House Montessori, says their school is growing rapidly, and they are hoping this fun event will raise money for the expansion.
“It’s a good way to build community, reach out to other people that are outside of our school community, and also take advantage of this really amazing park that we have right across from our school,” Kagarmanov said.
The Children’s House Montessori is a not-for-profit organization that follows the South Dakota Department of Education requirements while implementing a Montessori teaching method focusing on hands-on learning and real-world skills.
