AUSTIN, Texas — The Salvation Army is asking the community to give thousands of children in need Christmas gifts this holiday season.
The program helps children in low-income families from Travis and Williamson counties. The families fill out a wish list of things like clothes, shoes and toys for Christmas morning.
The Salvation Army relies on donations to fill requests for “Forgotten Angels,” which are angels that have not been fulfilled before the deadline.
