Southeast Ohio Lions pack 700 bags of food [Video]

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – The Lions Club convention was held in Marietta and many Lions participated in packing food bags at the Boys and Girls club.

“We are packing 12,000lbs of food and we have 700 bags that we will be packing that into and this will benefit 350 families all over Southeast Ohio. All of the Lions clubs that have donated to it are bringing it back to their individual communities including Beverly and Marietta and we will be benefiting local food pantries to help feed the hungry in our community.” said Sara Camacho, District Governor 13OH7 Lions Club.

A Lions mission is to serve their community.

“Our mission is WE SERVE, and that is to provide the most humanitarian service around the world. We have 1.4 million members world wide in over 200 countries. Here in Southeast Ohio the Lions of 13OH7 are in 17 counties, 48 clubs and over 1,200 adult volunteers.” says Camacho
