RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Storybook Island is a staple from many people’s childhoods; for the magic to continue, they need your help. On Feb. 10, the evening will honor the park’s past, present, and future.
Storybook Island: Past, Present, and Future will be the park’s third annual fundraising event. This year, they are ramping up to renovate the Winnie the Pooh Tree and 100-acre Woods area. The total cost is $500,000, and they have $200,000 left. The upgrade will make it accessible for anyone navigating the park.
The fundraising gala starts at 5 on the evening of Feb. 10 at the Ramkota Hotel. Minerva’s Catering will serve dinner, and Good Morning KOTA Territory’s Keith Grant will be the host. There will be a silent auction and live music by Cullen Kelly and the Stateline Ramblers.
