If you have nonprofit, you need to know about the new Beneficial Owner Information report now required by the U.S. government. This is a form you have to fill out for your business. Businesses formed before January 1, 2024 have until 2025 to fill out their reports, but new businesses have 90 days. If you are a tax-exempt organization, you are exempt from this form, but not all nonprofits are tax-exempt! Make sure you are informed, because you may face up to a $500 fine or more.
