The Story of Butterfly Kids | Epidermolysis Bullosa Awareness & Fundraising
This fundraising was made to support children in the Philippines who have a rare diease called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a rare genetic disorder that affects 1 in every 50,000 births. Those who have this condition lack a certain gene which is needed to produce an important collagen that holds the skin together. With very fragile skin, they suffer from severe blisters, skin tears, and are prone to getting numerous infections due to the open wounds. Many rely on the use of ointments, gauze, and coverings to protect the skin. Over time one can suffer immobility as heavy scar tissue can attach fingers together and blisters forming on the feet. All donations will be made to help these little children receive daily ointments, gauze, medicine, and needed doctor’s visits. Thank You!
