Thieves swipe food and cash from Brockton youth softball teams concession stand Boston 25 News [Video]

BROCKTON, Mass. — It was a winning season for the U-10 team of the Brockton Blazers girls’ softball. They are just one team in this softball league for girls ages 6 to 18 in the City of Champions.

And the big new draw since the Spring was a new red concession stand converted from a used storage container. It was used to feed hungry fans and players and was also set to be the site of a Family Fun Day last weekend.

“It may look like a simple concession stand where we sell things, but it really does add to the gameday experience for these girls and their families,” said Al Basler who is the President of Brockton Blazers Softball.

Once the season ended on August 5, the concession stand was locked up awaiting Family Fun Day on August 19. But last week Basler got a call with some bad …

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
