Thousands of pounds of food donated for 32nd ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ food drive [Video]

“Stamp Out Hunger” is the nation’s largest single-day food drive, where postal workers pick up food donations on their mail routes.

IDAHO, USA — For many, the sight of a postal van brings excitement – carrying a long-anticipated delivery. Postal workers deliver our needs, wants and information. So, what the “Letter Carriers Stamp out Hunger Food Drive” does is a reversal, workers picking up others needs.

On Saturday, postal workers received deliveries filled with food to distribute across Idaho as part of their nationwide food drive.

This year marked the 32nd annual Stamp Out Hunger, which is the largest single-day food drive in the nation. 

The Treasure Valley’s postal worked added an extra stop on the routes, swapping out packages and postcards for boxes of donated food.
