Tyler Parks and Rec to host 19th annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf event [Video]

The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and will be held at Lindsey Park located at 12557 Spur 364 W. in Tyler on Saturday.

TYLER, Texas — Tyler Parks and Recreation is gearing up to host their 19th annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday to help end hunger.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and will be held at Lindsey Park located at 12557 Spur 364 W. in Tyler on Saturday.

Officials are encouraging every level of skill to participate; with all benefits proceeding the East Texas Food Bank and Tyler Parks and Recreation. 

“Over the last 18 years, the Tyler Ice Bowl has raised funds for 188,478 meals, which doesn’t include the meals provided through the food donated,” according to a press release.

Tyler Parks and Recreation is hopeful to collect 700 pounds of food this year and is encouraging individuals to donate canned food items at the event.

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
