Video: Sunday Feb 4th Good News Spotlight [Video]

News that Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers [BILTIR] appointed Suzanne Williams-Charles as CEO, Joan Williams celebrated 40 years working at Little Venice, the Fairmont Southampton hotel redevelopment got underway, and Nahki Wells scored were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, swimmer Myeisha Sharrieff helped Howard defeat Cardinals, Etienne Wolffe was named an Olympic NOC Assistant, the National Museum of Bermuda is offering free entry to residents in February, the City of Hamilton donated $3,200 to the Bermuda Shrine Club, the Tino Martinez Quartet was invited to perform at the SXSW music festival, and the Department of Corrections welcomed eight new officers.

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25. The memorial service honored Saifeddin Issam Ayad Abutaha of Palestine, John Chapman of Britain, Jacob Flickinger of the U.S. and Canada, Lalzawmi “Zomi” Frankcom of Australia, James Henderson of Britain, James Kirby of Britain, and Damian Soból of Poland.__Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions.
