The White House has not announced where the vice president will be speaking.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Both Carolinas will see a visit from Vice President Kamala Harris this month as the White House announced she will be visiting the Queen City just days after making a stop in Myrtle Beach on the 2024 campaign trail.
Harris will visit Charlotte on Thursday to discuss the Biden Administration’s efforts to reduce gun violence. The vice president will be joined by educators, counselors, parents, gun safety advocates, and local and state leaders, according to state leaders. Miguel Cardona, the U.S. Secretary of Education, will also be in attendance.
Funding from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act will be announced during Harris’ visit. The funding is used for schools to increase mental health resources.
