WATCH: Mercer on Care Camps, Tips to Fundraising [Video]

Jennifer Mercer, the director of development for Care Camps, joined WCM’s Outdoor Hospitality Update at 3 p.m. EDT on Aug. 30, to give an update on how Care Camps is fairing in 2022.

Care Camps is a charity that sends kids battling cancer to specialized oncology camps where they can enjoy nature, childhood and fun. The charity helps support camps throughout the United States and Canada. You can learn more and donate by clicking here. 

Mercer noted during the show that the numerous oncology camps the charity supports in the U.S. and Canada have been operating camps this summer after many were forced to stop hosting camps during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also said that one bright spot coming out of the pandemic is that the operators of these camps now understand how they can utilize digital tools and other assets to reach kids all year long and not just while they are at camp.
