ARDMORE, Ala. (WHNT) – The City of Ardmore pushed through its second day under a “boil water” notice. On Sunday, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) helped provide clean water to families in need.
“I wouldn’t care if I had to stand out here for six hours just for a chance to get water for my family,” said Kevin Carroll. “There ain’t nothing a father wouldn’t do for his family.”

The husband and soon-to-be father stood in below-freezing temperatures Sunday morning waiting for the 10-pallett truckload of water to be delivered at the Ardmore Water Department.
Carroll wasn’t the only one thinking of his family. Dozens of cars lined up at the department waiting for the free water. Dwight Colston said “icy roads” were too dangerous for his family to travel on; so he came alone.
