With cannoli and zeppole eating contests, The Feast returns on Staten Island this fall with fireworks [Video]

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Sausage ‘n’ peppers fans along with cannoli lovers will say ‘benvenuto’ to the upcoming Italian Festival at The Mount. This year’s “Festa” at Mount Loretto in Pleasant Plains marks a four-day affair.

Dates are Friday, Oct. 7 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8 from noon to 11 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9 from noon to 8 p.m. and Monday, Columbus Day, Oct. 10 from noon to 6 p.m. The production is a fundraiser for Catholic Charities of Staten Island. Parking is a $5 donation and admission is an additional $5 contribution per guest. Children under 10 years old are admitted free.

Festa will include rides, games, food vendors, live music on stage all weekend, fireworks on Saturday night, an Italian car showcase plus sit-down beer and sangria gardens.

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
