The search efforts for Amanda Richmond Rogers who disappeared four days ago as she attempted to save her dog who disappeared beneath the ice of Eagle River were partially hampered by equipment failures.

But there is a way you can help.

Richmond’s sister posted on Facebook that they are setting up a memorial in Amanda’s name for the Alaska Dive Search Rescue and Recovery Team. That nonprofit organization helped in the search efforts, and earlier this week, they said a piece of sonar equipment they use in these operations had stopped working.

Richmond’s sister said that she had “no words for their love, commitment and compassion. Whether it’s for my sister, or just for the love, you won’t find a more dedicated team. From the depths of our broken hearts, thank you.”
