Charity plea as junk litters streets outside shops [Video]

Dirty clothes, toys and household waste are just some of the items of trash left littered outside multiple Vinnies stores across Adelaide over the festive period.

Along with the useless items were donations that would have been of use to the charity if they hadn’t have been left outside and exposed.

And rather than helping charities make money, it costs them to get rid of the junk – plus wastes volunteers’ time to sort it out.

Vinnies CEO Evelyn O’Loughlin pleaded with people to either wait until shops were open to donate good quality items, or throw it away at the right place, such as at a council tip.
