City of Norfolk not connected to National Police Association donation letters appearing in mailboxes [Video]

NORFOLK, Neb. (KOLN) – The Norfolk Police Department wants the community to be aware of donation letters that have been appearing in residents mailboxes.

Some residents have recently received letters in the mail from the “National Police Association” (NPA) asking for support and donations, according to NPD. These letters are personalized to the receiver and reference the Norfolk City Council. However, the City of Norfolk, the City Council, nor the Police Division have any connection with the letters or organization.

Norfolk Police said if residents are looking to support local public safety organizations, to donate through a local and reputable charity based in your area.
