A man who’s fighting for his life after suffering “cardiac arrest” during the Gold Coast Marathon had been running to raise money for a Balinese orphanage.
Local man Camryn Lloyd, a husband and the father of a young boy, collapsed 36km into the 42km race on Sunday, according to his family.
He is in intensive care in the Gold Coast University Hospital, Kingscliff Church said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

“James 5:16 says that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. These words are not mere words but Cam’s lived reality,” the post by Lloyd’s place of worship read.
“Cam is known as a man of prayer.
“On Sunday while running the Gold Coast marathon Cam had a cardiac arrest. He is currently in the ICU in critical condition.”
