BREWER, Maine (WABI) – The Greater Bangor Association of Realtors presented a check today to a local non-profit that works with veterans.
Realtors were at Jeff’s Catering and Event Center in Brewer for their monthly meeting.
The charity they chose for 2024 was House in the Woods.
The organization in Lee provides veterans retreats to Maine’s natural areas as they face challenges back home following their service.
”We got a nice check for over $8,700. So, the money really helps us enable veterans to come to House in the Woods for free. If it wasn’t for folks like the realtors here in Maine supporting us, we would not be able to bring the veterans here to Maine free, so they’re like family to us.
