Homily from the 12am Mass for Healing, Conversion, and Reparation offered by Fr. Matthew Schmitz, LC, on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

To conclude a Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Legionaries of Christ from around the world offered 24 hours of live-streamed masses and rosaries in reparation for abuse, for the healing of victims, and for the ongoing purification of the Congregation.

Jesus, you who are love and mercy incarnate, grant us to love your Sacred Heart in such a way that in it we have our refuge and salvation, and that by letting you love through us, you will establish your reign of love in the world.

We ask your forgiveness for our indifference and lack of love, for our lack of faith, for our negligence, ingratitude, and contempt; for our pride and lack of trust; for all our sins, and especially for those of consecrated souls. We pray especially for the healing for all those that our sins and failings have affected and for the wounds we have inflicted through our selfishness.
