Matt Talbot hosts annual Souper Bowl of Caring fundraiser [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Matt Talbot is calling on Chiefs fans, 49ers fans and everyone else to help tackle hunger with their annual Souper Bowl of Caring fundraiser.

It’s a national initiative to raise food for local food pantries and help those in need. More than $25 million has been raised for hunger relief across the country in its 30 years.

What you’re asked to do is get together a team, whether that’s coworkers, a sports team or a church group, and pool together as much food as possible. That food will go to Matt Talbot and help those in the Capital City.

“Last year Matt Talbot provided over 250,000 meals to people in need in Lincoln with our served meals, food pantries and our food table,” Lori Wellman, Director of Development at Matt Talbot said. “That’s an almost 40% increase over the year before so there’s a real need in our community, and this …
