Our Regenerative Agriculture Journey in Costa Rica with Nespresso [Video]

Meet Yamileth Chacón, a coffee farmer in Costa Rica. See for yourself how regenerative agriculture practices have helped transform her farm into an inspiring haven for nature. Yamileth is just one of many farmers on a regenerative agriculture journey together with the Rainforest Alliance and Nespresso. She shares our long-held belief that the quality of a cup of coffee is not just defined by its flavor, but also by the impact it has on people and nature. Enter regenerative agriculture: an approach to farming that aims to protect and heal the land, while creating better livelihoods for farmers along the way. Nespresso has set a bold target to transition its AAA farms to regenerative agriculture, with the goal of sourcing 95 percent regenerative from those farms by 2030. Children International’s youth and employment programs helped Lester create a coffee company and, more recently, became the owner of a small hotel. Helping his community to thrive, Lester is proud to provide internships for sponsored children, but he is most proud of the fact that he has broken the cycle of poverty for his young son.
