Thank you to everyone who joined us on May 20 for Humanitarian Day. The dedication and enthusiasm shown by all attendees made it an unforgettable event, filled with compassion and a shared goal of making a positive impact. The activities included building hygiene kits, exploring our disaster response clinics, writing notes on boxes of aid headed to Ukraine, learning hands-only CPR, and touring our mobile medical vehicles. Together, volunteers assembled 6,255 hygiene kits that will be distributed to people in need across the United States and around the world!

Members of HHI’s Disaster Response Team travel to mountains in Puerto Rico to visit communities we worked with after Hurricane Maria. The team got to see how a project we collaborated on with Water Mission after Hurricane Maria is still working to deliver clean and safe drinking water to rural communities, even after an earthquake and Hurricane Fiona.One of Heart to Heart International’s core values is sustainability – and this project is a wonderful example of how partnerships can create sustainable solutions for communities long after we leave an initial disaster response.

Members of Heart to Heart International’s Disaster Response Team are in the mountains of Puerto Rico visiting communities impacted by Hurricane Fiona.
