He started is Investment industry journey as Trainee Fund Manager in 1991, in less than 2 years he was promoted to the full role of Fund Manager.He worked for 12 years at Collins Stewart and Canaccord Genuity where he was Managing Director and Head of Equity sales. In this role he gained extensive experience of corporate transactions, M&A, IPOs and secondary offerings. During Alex’s time in investment banking, he was regularly recognised as a top ranked salesman covering UK small and mid-cap equities in the annual Extel awards.On the buy-side, his fund management experience spanned 7 years working at Newton Investment Management and Sanlam FOUR where he managed various Balanced and UK equity portfolios.
