Texas A&M’s annual Aggies CAN food drive begins [Video]

Texas A&M Athletics will begin its annual Aggies CAN canned food drive on Saturday as the Aggie football team hosts South Carolina at 11 a.m. Donations will be accepted at the Aggies CAN tent in the Fan Zone on the north side of Kyle Field.

Aggies CAN started in 2000. The Texas A&M Student-Athlete Advisory Committee collects non-perishable food and monetary donations to benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank and The 12th Can.

The food drive runs through Nov. 9. Donations will be taken at other home athletic events, including: Nov. 3 and 4 at the Rec Center entrance ahead of A&M swimming & diving’s meet against Texas and Georgia Tech; Nov. 3 and 5 at Reed Arena for A&M volleyball’s home matches against Alabama and Auburn; Nov. 6 at Reed Arena for A&M men’s basketball’s game against A&M-Commerce; and Nov. 9 at Reed Arena for A&M women’s basketball’s game …
