Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who is set to enter the final year of his contract in 2024, spoke with reporters at a charity event Monday about getting a potential contract extension done with Dallas this offseason.
During the discussion, Prescott said he was confident he would be a Cowboy beyond this season and mentioned how getting a deal done would benefit the team’s salary cap.
“I’m definitely confident. Obviously, it helps the team. It’s important for the (cap) numbers. I’ve heard Jerry say that it is a process, both sides understand that. Everything is great. It’ll happen,” Prescott said via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Could Prescott go a step further and take a team-friendly deal to help the organization build a better roster around him?
Shan, RJ and Bobby discussed the likelihood of Prescott giving the Cowboys a discount on Tuesday’s show.
