In Gaza, WCK passes 22 million meals served [Video]

More than half of Gaza’s population has now been displaced to Rafah, which means food needs in the region have skyrocketed. WCK has built more than 18 community kitchens, each with the capacity to provide meals for over 1,500 families daily. As the need for nourishing meals increases, we will do our best to ensure we are providing food wherever we can. #ChefsForThePeople #WCK #WorldCentralKitchen #nonprofit #humanitarianaid #food__Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions. The story behind Arroz Con Pollo a la Manolo from WCK’s cookbook [Video]

Purchase Feeding Humanity, Feeding Hope, WCK’s first-ever cookbook at https://wck.org/cookbook. Each chapter in The WCK Cookbook reflects one of the values that drive our work. In “Adaptability” you will find recipes that can easily be modified to suit the ingredients and tools you have at hand. Rice is the perfect ingredient for adaptation. WCK has served rice countless ways, often using it as the heart of many dishes we cook. This was the case in 2017 when our Relief Team responded to the devastation caused in Puerto Rico by Hurricane María. Our team cooked tens of thousands of plates of arroz con pollo thanks to Chef Manolo Martínez. The recipe for Manolo’s arroz con pollo is included in The WCK Cookbook (page 147 if you already have your copy!).__Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions. Gaza hospitals receive WCK-provided food [Video]

Hospitals in Gaza are doubling as shelters for entire communities that have been forced out of their homes, and the influx of people means resources are spread thin. WCK teams are distributing hot meals to several hospitals to ensure medical staff, patients, and displaced families receive a nourishing plate of food. #ChefsForThePeople #WCK #WorldCentralKitchen #nonprofit #humanitarianaid #food __Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions.
